Baginda menjawab: Siapa lagi kalau bukan mereka" HR Bukhari & Muslim
Ya Allah, peliharalah kami dari tipu daya musuh-musuhmu.. Amin

Please be informed that Istak Non Alcoholic Malt beverage have received Halal certification from Islamic Food Research Centre Asia (IFRC Asia)
Malt is very good for health and its nourishes. So do not be worried. Boleh minum tanpa was was.
Can find it Village Grocer outlets,Jaya Grocer, Isetan suprmarket KLCC and Lot 10
owh..know already about halal certification..just x berapa berkenan bila follow cara packaging like an alchohol..when i see people drink ISTAK, they left the bottle just like people who did drink the beer..why we must follow kafir?do we dont have other alternative?
Seriously, packaging is an issue even with Halal sign? Do you know that Halal Chicken and Non-Halal Chicken is packed the same way? If they do and they are from a different culture, are you going to force them to wear what you wear?
Be a Mukmin and stop bitching about things.
depends on your views, for me since drink a beer is totally prohibited, even the packaging is something need to be taking care. For chicken, Islam doesn't state any "hukum" about illegal or haram. so does the packaging can be done in way if it is legal from islamic or non-islamic views but need to observed our muslims community. same to our attire. i brought this article to let people open their mind what happened to our community today, they tend to follow what is not good rather than to choose something that can return to our golden age of Islam like before..see the latest news, there is 0.5% alchohol...http://www.bharian.com.my/bharian/articles/2011053006464620110530064646/Article
I understand your concern but you do know the term beer here does not equate to alcohol right? If that is the case A&W Root Beer and Ginger Beer should be Haram as well. Please recite Chapter 5 (Al-Maidah) of the Al-Quran to understand what is truly Halal and Haram before making a statement as such.
Also, that news article is vague. It did not even mention the Brand that has alcohol in it. But also, who gave a fatwa that less than 0.5% of alcohol in a drink becomes Halal? Think about it. Did Prophet Mohammed make this rule? To me, the Quran is perfect and easy to understand. Why are we ourselves trying to make it difficult? Not forgetting natural fermentation occurs with a lot of things including coconut drinks (Tuak). Ever thought of sending a 1 year old Coconut Drink to do a lab test before consuming it?
But I respect your decision as a Muslim brother if you want to boycott coke or istak. It's a personal decision. To me, it's clear that drinking this malt beverages that has a similar packaging to whatever beer brands, spraying perfume w/ alcohol or even applying medicine with alcohol content to my skin will not make me drunk. Hence, it is Halal.
I shall end here and I wish you well in your choices.

to deen yusoff, wa'alaikumussalam warahmatullah
thanks for your views, i believe people out there at least can have their own opinions to choose what is good for them after they read this article and your comments here.
sometimes people just wear what they get, without refer to 'hukum' whether it is permissible or not, mostly happen to muslim nowadays..this is just my opinion, readers may choose to say 'yes' or 'no' for what they think rather than blindly accepted.
for me, to be vigilant is better to avoid harm which is not visible. :)
